Why electric wins on environmental impact
Compared with petrol or diesel, electric vehicles are more environmentally friendly on almost every measure except the carbon intensity of manufacturing — and that is falling as production scales.
- **Zero tailpipe emissions.** EVs produce no exhaust emissions in use.
